Chieftain  Cameron Hall

Jordan Hinkley

Name:  Cameron Floyd Hall
Birthday: 08.17.1961
Place: Salt Lake City
Education: BS Industrial Organizational Behavior, from the University of Utah in 1986.
Employment: Third Party Inspector in the oil and gas industry.
Married to Jennifer Hall
Family: I have a large family with six biological children and four stepchildren.  Combined we have 34 grandchildren which makes us very blessed and very busy.
General: My interests are varied enjoying music as a guitar, mandolin, and bagpipe player.  I also enjoy a day of fly fishing on one of Utah’s many great rivers when I get the chance.  I love the outdoors and camping, hiking, and taking in the beauty of our beautiful alpine and desert vista’s.  My wife and I love to travel when given the chance.  Lastly, I have a deep and abiding love for all things Scottish.  As you can tell by my first name, Clan Cameron is how I connect to Scotland.  It is on my mother’s side through her mother Avis Catherine Cameron that I trace my Scottish blood.
I started attending the Utah Scottish Festival over 25 years ago when the games were held at the Murray Park.  Some of you will share fond memories of those day when the festival was much smaller.  Through the years my involvement and interests have seen me as a member of the board of the Utah Scottish Association, a convenor representing the Clan Cameron, a Member at Large for the Rocky Mountain Branch of the Clan Cameron, and I currently act as the VP of the branch.
One of the greatest opportunities my wife and I had was to attend the International Gathering of the Clan’s in Edinburgh in 2009.  Which culminated in Fort Williams Scotland with the Gathering of the Clan Cameron at Achancarry Castle.  It was a life changing experience and one that truly connected me to my roots.
I am deeply honored to have been asked to server as the Chief of the 2024 Utah Scottish Festival and Highland Games.  Thanks to all those who have put in endless hours in preparing to host this great event.
