Parade was held March 18 2017. Below was the 2017 information. 2018 information will be posted when we recieve updates.
We will gather as an Association. Clans are welcome and encouraged to bring their banners and march with us in the parade. We will have a pipe band marching with us as well. Highland dress is encouraged but not required. The parade route information will be available at the Hiberneian Society page.
All entries should plan on arriving at the lineup area no later than 8:30 am. The Parade Marshals will direct each entry to their lineup spot in the marshalling area. Promptly at 10:00 am, the Parade will proceed down 400 West, and turn West onto 50 North and then turn South onto Gateway Road (Rio Grande Ave). The Parade will march through to the end of the Gateway, a distance of approximately 9/10 of one mile. The line of March will terminate at the south end of the Gateway. As a reminder, no items may be handed out or thrown to spectators along the line of march.
Due to construction, parking is scarce. We recommend approaching the parade staging area from the north. Park vehicles that won’t be in the parade in Gateway or in the parking lot at the northeast corner of North Temple and 400 West. At the end of the march, parade vehicles may return to the staging area by 600 West.
This year’s post-parade Siamsa of Irish music and dance is on the parade route at The Grand Ballroom of the Union Pacific Station, north side of Gateway.
